Title
The Cosmoe Operating System
Description
Hi, my name is Bill Hayden, and I am the author and maintainer of Cosmoe. I started forming ideas and writing code that would eventually become Cosmoe in 1997. Not that I claim credit for the entirety of what Cosmoe has become -- I couldn't have done it without extensive help from others. Notably, thanks are due to Kurt Skauen, Tom Marshall, and the entire OpenBeOS (now Haiku) team for their extensive source code contributions to Cosmoe.
I graduated from the University of Florida in 1996 with a degree in Computer Multimedia Design. Back then, programming was just a hobby and I was more focused on animation, graphics, and 3-D visualization. Since I've graduated, however, I've done nothing but programming work -- first on the Macintosh and then quickly branching out to Linux and Windows.
I currently work in the Core Product Development Team of Medical Manager Health Systems R&D, which is a subsidiary of WebMD. I also run a computer consulting business called Hayden Technologies, Inc. In addition, I also serve at First Baptist Church of Micanopy. As you can see, Cosmoe has quite a number of other things with which to compete for my time.
