This site explores the depths of human knowledge and belief, scientific and spiritual, modern and ancient, in an attempt to show that the convergence of scientific and spiritual thought is inevitable, and in fact is already happening. Such a synthesis would certainly require a profound paradigm shift away from our logic-oriented objective view of the universe, or more precisely, a shift toward a perspective in which our "normal" understanding of the universe is recognized as a rather limited view of the way things really are. This is precisely the sort of emerging worldview which scientific physics has been struggling with for the past 100 years, and is precisely what mystics have been telling us ever since we can remember. No longer are these worldviews rooted in diametrically opposed principles. In fact, modern physics and the perennial philosophy cannot help but to be concerned with exactly the same universal principles, and the parallels between their descriptions of these universal principles are striking and exciting, to say the least.
The discussions will tend to move quickly to the heart of the concepts involved and leave a more detailed exploration of any point in question, all of which are well-covered in other resources, up to the reader as needed. The primary focus is to introduce a metaphysical geometry which can be related directly to both modern relativistic quantum field theory and the most ancient sacred geometries. The great archives which form the fields of human knowledge are vast and diverse, and insofar that every field of human endeavor is primarily a quest for that which is true within the scope of that endeavor, every one of them should be considered as offering at least some sort of legitimate perspective on whatever the ultimate Truth should turn out to be. I suspect we can come to understand that it is all primarily a matter of perspective. About all we can say about the timeless transcendental essence of the universe is that it has always been the same no matter how we believed, and yet we can actually experience it, do experience it, and we can come to feel it as a universal state of Being from which shines the core of our being. In meditation and yogic practices, in all the great spiritual traditions of our planet, we search for a personal understanding and a very real experience of that timeless state of Being.
Many will recognize concepts and terminology paralleling the New Age ideas which have become so familiar, but the worldview expressed within this site (as summarized above) is actually more along the lines of the New Thought movement, a modern mysticism of the Western world that emerged over a century ago. Early pioneers of New Thought were author-philosophers such as Ralph Waldo Emerson, Henry David Thoreau, and Walt Whitman; scientist-philosophers such as Albert Einstein, Sir Arthur Eddington, and Alfred North Whitehead; and leading metaphysical teachers like the the founders of the Theosophical Society. More recently, the respected works of Joseph Campbell have gone a long way to broaden our perspectives on mythology and comparative religion while the New Age phenomenon grew as a popularized and natural spin-off of the New Thought emergence. All of it and more, of course, are expressions of our awakening process as a whole.
