COSCA is a voluntary organisation and recognised charity (Scottish Charity No. SCO 18887) and a company limited by guarantee (No. 142360 registered in Scotland).
COSCA has a Policy Board which provides the overall vision and leadership of the organisation. The work of COSCA is also dependent on the contribution of the many volunteers and sessional workers drawn from throughout the counselling and psychotherapy community who sit on the standing policy and operational groups.
COSCA also engages expert external assessors for the validation of counselling skills, diploma and counselling supervision courses and for the process of accreditation of counsellors, psychotherapists and trainers.
