Description
Cornerstone Behavioral Health is a private, not-for-profit outpatient clinic providing mental health and substance abuse treatment services to the residents of southwestern Wyoming. Established in 1988, Cornerstone offers clients professional and confidential services traditionally found in urban environments. And in January of 1998, Cornerstone moved into a brand new, state-of-the-art facility adjacent to the local medical hospital.
The professional staff at Cornerstone is anchored by seven doctoral level psychologists and three psychological interns. Each is licensed (or in the process of receiving licensure) and active in publishing and lecturing on a national basis. Cornerstone also employs two psychiatrists and three substance abuse counselors with national and state certifications.
Working closely with local employers, the medical community, schools, and civic organizations, Cornerstone's general mental health services and substance abuse treatment programs have become the standard for the region. Cornerstone's substance abuse treatment program is one of only two in the state of Wyoming accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF). CARF recently awarded Cornerstone the highest accreditation possible for mental health services.
