A corneal specialist is a medical doctor who provides patients with examination, diagnosis and recommends treatment for myriad medical and surgical conditions related to the front portion of the eye. Eye maladies related to and functions of the specialty include: infection, clouding of the cornea, performing cornea transplants and the field of laser refractive surgery.
