Description
Coral Ridge Ministries (CRM) is a television, radio, and print outreach that is touching the lives of millions -nationwide and overseas. CRM's three-fold mission is to evangelize, nurture Christian growth through biblical instruction, and act in obedience to the Cultural Mandate by applying the truth of Scripture to all of life, including civic affairs. CRM exists to help hurting people find Christ, know Him, and apply their newfound faith to the world around them. The principal broadcast vehicles to do all this are The Coral Ridge Hour, the weekly hour-long television program featuring Dr. Kennedy; Truths That Transform, CRM's daily half-hour radio program; and The Kennedy Commentary, a daily 90-second radio feature.
CRM began in 1974 with Dr. Kennedy's first sermon radiocast to Fort Lauderdale. The television outreach began in 1978 when the church, recognizing the tremendous evangelistic potential of TV, launched The Coral Ridge Hour on two stations. Since then, CRM has grown from 15 employees to 160. The Coral Ridge Hour now airs on more than 600 stations, four cable networks, and to 145 nations and 125 ships at sea on the Armed Forces Network. Truths That Transform airs on more than 700 radio facilities across America, and The Kennedy Commentary is heard on nearly 500 radio facilities. The Coral Ridge Hour, which is available to 73 percent of the nation's television households, has the greatest number of TV station affiliates of any religious program in the U.S. Altogether, nearly 3 million people listen weekly to CRM programming on radio or television.
Since 1994, CRM has hosted the Reclaiming America For Christ Conference in Fort Lauderdale. This event, which draws concerned Christians from around the country, features some of the nation's foremost Christian leaders and offers attendees the information, inspiration, and tools they need to bring biblical perspectives into public life.
