Welcome to Coral Cultivations, my name is Stephen Cranfield. I have kept marine fish and invertebrates for over 12 years now, starting with a fish only system at the age of 21 and have since developed to full blown reef systems containing, soft, LPS and SPS corals, clams etc. Over the years I have had great success propagating various species of corals, and in December 2003 made the decision to develop my hobby into a part-time business.
To begin with I concentrated on pulsing and non-pulsing Xenia species, and have since expanded the selection to cover a range of soft coral species, and I love trying different animals. In 2004 I joined forces with James MacGregor of Reef Critters in Harrogate, a specialist importer of invertebrates, and working together we now supply a wide range of such animals alongside frags - clean up crew animals in particular.
Up until recently we offered a full mail order service, and could supply the full range of imported animals to order alongside our in-house reared frags and imported animals, but as a result of health problems I was forced to substantially scale-down the Hull side of Coral Cultivations, and mainly stick to rearing and selling frags.
