He has experience in radio and has held an Advanced Amateur Radio Certificate (HAM) for over 30 years. Steve became involved in a Ham Radio splinter group that started to design and build their own home computers long before any lay person could have imagined a computer for the home.
In 1998 - 1999, Steve developed a ground breaking policing web site for The Toronto Police No. 42 Division. This web site blazed a trail and set standards for other police divisions and services. He received Website of the Month Award for July 2000 from the Association of Road Safety Professionals (previous winners were University of Manitoba and the Ford Motor Company)
