Contrast Photography was first established in the mid 1980s by Nancy Alford as a new freelance photography business. With help from the Princes Trust in 1998 the business branched out into taking informal children's portraits. A workshop was put together in the attic of an old Manor House in Hillsborough, Sheffield, and slowly the business grew. Since then Contrast Photography has built up a steady client base of growing families who are visited once a year for their annual photographs.
