The entrepreneurial environment of Italy in post-war years put out the need for an organisation capable of safeguarding and promoting interests of small and medium-sized industries.
Small and medium-sized industries are one of the assets in Italian economy. Their adaptability to change and flexibility are outstanding qualities of Italian enterprises, which have become a reference model all over the world. In his history CONFAPI has given his contribute to develop these qualities, supporting small and medium-sized industries and helping his associates to cope with an ever changing economic environment.
