Description
StateStitch is a program that helps you move a web application from ASP to ASP.NET. It allows ASP and ASP.NET code to coexist fully on your web-server.
Without StateStitch, ASP and ASP.NET store their session data separately. There’s no way to share the information stored in Sessions. When moving an ASP application that uses Sessions to ASP.NET, you would have to re-write the entire application at once.
StateStitch lets ASP use ASP.NET’s Sessions. At the start of each ASP page, StateStitch copies the data from the ASP.NET Session into the ASP Session, and at the end of each page it copies the ASP Session back to the ASP.NET Session. The effect is that ASP shares ASP.NET’s Sessions.
