What is Community Connection?
Community Connection is a statewide database of community resources on the World Wide Web. A free public service, it provides an easily searched, central source for information about a wide variety of resources available to Missourians. In addition, it provides links to useful information that can help in evaluating and choosing those resources.
The purpose of Community Connection is to build capacity-of individuals, organizations, and communities. It does this by 1) improving access to community services and resources; 2) helping community resources reach people 3) enhancing information sharing, referral, and collaboration among community agencies and resources.4) providing information that helps make informed decisions.
Community Connection includes both public and private, non-profit and for profit resources, including agencies, organizations, government units, clubs, associations, schools, churches, businesses, libraries and others. The intent is to become comprehensive in health, mental health, education, and human services, but inclusive of all resources. Certain uses are prohibited.
