- In 1956 Clint Collins founded Collins, Inc. by offering lawn and garden equipment to Smithfield; mainly dealing in chainsaws for the pulp wood industry. As the years passed and business grew he saw an opportunity to provide yet another product to his community. In 1973 he began carrying OMC products like Johnson and Evinrude outboard engines. He saw success with his new venture and started a legacy that will serve his community for years to come.
