Description
Personnel and Labor Relations Consultant, 1983 to present. Serve as chief negotiator for school boards and public sector employers including cities and water districts Represented employers in mediation and fact finding. Appeared before the Public Employer Relations Board in unit determination and unfair practice cases. Conducted training programs. Prepared reports on personnel matters including job classification studies and salary surveys.
Directed personnel and collective bargaining functions in a two college, 1200 employee district. Served as chief negotiator for the district with classified (CSEA) and certificated (CTA) personnel; implemented contract and administered grievance procedure. Represented district in mediation, arbitration and Public Employee Relations Board (PERB) cases. Conducted "meet and confer" sessions with non-union personnel. Assisted in preparation and implementation of affirmative action policies and procedures. Prepared personnel policies. Administered health and benefit plans. Conducted training programs and related workshops. Participated on local and regional committees as a representative of District.
