Cogent had some growing pains in its inception, acquiring $14 billion in assets for $60 million during the Telco bust. They had there issues, just as any other ISP integrating thousands of fiber miles. They have now grown to a 180Gbps, have a 100% Availability SLA and are ranked 4th in the world peering. The performance level is extremely high and the customer service can not be beat. I agree, they had there issues, but are now emerging as one of the TOP 5 ISPs in the world.
