Registration Problems/ FAQs If you're having trouble posting in our forums after registering, please refer to the below helpful points first before contacting us:

Q1) I just registered, but when I try to post, it says "You do not have permission to access this page". How come? A) After registering, you should have received an automated confirmation email sent to the email address you used to sign up. You'll need to read this email and click on the contained link to finalize your membership before you can post.

Q2 I visited the link in the confirmation email to activate my account, but the forum still says "permission denied." A) The problem may be cookies not having cleared properly. Close your browser then relaunch it. Then visit the link in the confirmation email again to activate your account.

Q3) Help, I can't log out, even after clicking on the "Log Out" link! A) Some browsers such as IE6 contain a bug in their cookie implementation, causing the log out feature of CF to fail at times. When this happens, you need to log out twice, by visiting both:

-http://www.codingforums.com AND -http://codingforums.com (without the "www")

and clicking on "Log out."

Use this same technique if you find yourself logged in, but the forum requires you to do so again each time after closing your browser and revisiting CF, even though you've specified in your Profile to use cookies and automatically log in.

Q4) I never received a confirmation email after I registered. A) The time it takes to receive the confirmation email varies, though if your email account is functioning, it should be within a few minutes or an hour. If you had registered using third party services such as Yahoo or Hotmail that contain spam filters, be sure to check your Bulk/Junk folder as well to see if the confirmation email was deposited there.

If you still have problems with registration, contact us at with your username.
