Chidambaram Institute of Maritime Technology (CMET) was established in 1997 under the CSC Trust as a dedicated Institution, catering to the training needs of the Maritime Industry.
Our parent company Chidambaram Shipcare Pvt Ltd has been in the Ship repair business since 1978, and was in fact the first Indian Ship repair Company to be certified to the ISO 9002 Quality Standards.
Since 1990 onwards Chidambaram Shipcare has been carrying out Marine Engineer Training with the approval of the Director General of Shipping, Govt. of India.
