Acadia Mountain Guides Climbing School is a company of professional guides. Since our inception in 1993, we have encouraged formal training and evaluation of all our guides. Our guiding standards are among the best in the industry and represent the highest standards in Maine. Our guides are friendly, dedicated professionals whose talents lie in their technical expertise, climbing ability and their skill as educators. Over a decade ago we began offering family specific climbing programs - now we see those offered by many of our competitors. A few years ago we began a summer climbing camp for youth - a novel idea for climbing schools. Now many climbing schools are trying to do the same thing. However, because of our close ties with the adventure education world and our guide training program, we have the unique opportunity to select the best outdoor leaders and instructors from a large pool of courses that we offer across the country. Further, we have the in-house ability to train and evaluate staff in wilderness medicine, top rope climbing and wilderness leadership.
