A Little History
In December 1998, things were flying fast and furious over at the MacGaming forum. This was that time when the whole MicroConversions controversy was erupting, what with the so-called 'pirated' reference drivers out, and MicroConversions crying foul, and an awful lot of people had an awful lot to say about it all.
I at the time was playing a great deal of Team Fortress for Quake 1, and was feeling very much like joining a Clan if I could. I really wanted to have one of those oh-so-neat 'tags' at the end of my nick, and was at a loss as to what to do.
At the same time, I noticed the same names, again and again popping up at the forum, and we all wound up chiming in the same way on a variety of subjects, so like a total goofball, I posted a suggestion that we all form a little social Clan so's we could all play together online.
