The name Mayote was derived from the use of my mom's maiden name and my last name. The first three letters of Mayfield and Otero was created to form Mayote which rhymes with coyote. It has a almost tribal sound to it with a slight goofiness added in. Having the Clan in the front was the only unused version available for a website.
