The concept started as a bit of a laugh in work during the summer of 2005. A discussion about web names and the idea of CityPubs was mentioned, I've no idea who, it might even have been my idea spawned from the conversation. I checked the name and was surprised it was available. It seemed an excellent name so I bought it for 2 years with hosting and here we are now.
Well, I'm still doing 2-3 so don't expect a huge amount in a short time. I have 149 Pubs listed but I don't think that I will have all of them on. Also I know that some are missing so need to be added. The list will definitely alter over time.
I've also had a couple more ideas which can be added at a later stage (to much to do now just the bloody pubs done). Name That Pub, Pubs with their names removed and you try and name them and, Know Your City,(or something like it) pictures of statues or interesting objects around the City and you name what and where they are, this will also be a nice chance to slip in some history etc...
