- I don’t think people should have to pay out the nose for experienced computer help. I have been working with computers my whole life. Starting from my dad’s Apple ][e, to the family’s 386, to a series of home-built computers, to my current mini data center and server farm, I have always had my hand on a mouse or my fingers on the keyboard. Friends and family would often tell me that I could do PC work for a living, but I always brushed them off. After seeing what some people were charging (and getting away with!) I decided that there had to be an alternative. So in 2004 I went into business for myself, and I haven’t looked back. This work is helping me pay for college, but it also makes me feel great. I get a great deal of satisfaction from a job well done and the thanks I get from my clients.
