Description
The Capital and Income Trust Group of Companies (CIT) was founded in London in 1995 by John Barroll Brown. From the beginning, CIT has focused on doing things differently. The group brought together experts from a range of disciplines to provide the equivalent of an investment banking operation that specialises in property. CIT quickly established itself as a major player in property investment with the acquisition of managed assets on behalf of its various investors, including London landmarks such as Sea Containers House, Royal Mint Court and 120 Holborn.
In December 2000, CIT (USA) LLC was established as a joint venture with Berkshire Capital. Berkshire Capital is a privately owned investment management and advisory firm.
Our expansion into the USA was followed in 2001 by the creation of CIT Asia Pacific (CITAP). CITAP was established to source and manage investments in the Asia Pacific region, where we believe favourable investment conditions are finally beginning to emerge.
