- 1995 graduates of the world's premier culinary college the Culinary Institute of America, Mary and Rob have spent several years traveling and working in Savannah, Georgia, and Bermuda before settling in Spring Lake, New Jersey in 2000. Soon thereafter the Gartons set their sights on a storefront at the edge of Main Street in Avon by the Sea and opened MR Chefs Cafè, which later became the Savannah Seafood Company.
