- 中国建筑学会室内设计分会的前身是中国室内建筑师学会，1989年诞生至今已十六个年头，目前有6000多名会员，是中国室内设计界的学术团体。学会的宗旨是：团结全国室内设计师，提高中国室内设计的理论与实践水平，探索具有中国特色的室内设计道路，发挥室内设计师的社会作用，维护室内设计师的权益，发展与世界各国同行间的合作，为我国现代化建设服务。16年来，在建设部和中国建筑学会领导下，贯彻百花齐放、百家争鸣的方针，促进学术繁荣；同时面向经济建设，促进科学技术的普及和提高。
