Church Net UK - Home Page

Church Net was created in 1995 by St Martins College, Lancaster. As the UK's largest teacher training college, with a particular focus on religious studies and the development of resources for religions as well as teachers, Church Net UK was a part of this work.

In the latter part of 2002 St Martins decided to remove the site due to a lack of resources to run and develop the site. Now the site has been relaunched in close association with the college, by NSH Consultancy, a Lancaster-based internet company who's director, Neil S Hamilton, has had close links with Church Net UK from its begining, having been responsible for the first ever Church Net UK website back in 1995, and having managed Church Net UK for a period of time back in 1998/1999.

NSH Consultancy passionatly believes that the church (especially in the UK) needs a resource such as Church Net and intend to develop the site and its services to suit you (the browser) and to fulfil your needs for a site of this nature. For this reason, we are also being helped by a group of Christians from West End Impact in Morecambe who have volunteered to take on some of the day-to-day admin tasks. We believe that Church Net UK is more than a website. If you submit a prayer request to PrayerNet for example, there will be real people who will actually pray for you.
