- So Barack Obama doesn't want to have a Federal Gas Tax moratorium because according to him that money goes into the pockets of the gas companies. If the Tax is implimented by the Federal Government and collected by the local gas station, how does that money go into the hands of the big bag oil companies? Shady math it sounds to me. His solution to create ANOTHER stimulus package for about a thousand dollars. Now with the $200B bailout of the banks and the last stimlous package, it would seem like we have a lot of free money floating around. Democrats! They like spending money we don't have. Their answer? Have the Fed print more. Pffft
