The Christmas Markets of Germany are unique. Overlooked by the famous Cochem Castle the Christmas Market at Cochem is set in the old town from 22 November to 16 December 2012. This year there is a new ice rink situated next to the christmas fair. The Christmas Market is set around the Endertplatz for presents; from festively decorated Christmas centrepieces to Christmastree decorations and lots more. The numerous atmosphere and entice visitors of all ages to stroll around and enjoy the Christmas spirit. Plenty of local specialities are on offer to tempt you. The Christmas stalls are open daily from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. A special way to get into the spirit of Christmas is to visit Cochem Castle on 10th and 11th December 2011 and experience its live nativity play. The traditional Christmas story is brought to life in the courtyards of the castle by actors in historical costumes and live animals. Enjoy Cochem and the Moselle with traditional wine taverns such as the Historic Rathskeller at the market place.
