For years I made a part time income from my home-based word processing business; simply known as Evelyn's Typing Service (later, using my initials I changed the name to EMprints). In 1986, at the annual Secretary's Day Convention, I received a John George Nicolay scholarship (a prestigious award in our community at the time) as recognition.
On Easter Sunday 1994 my husband of 23 years at the time, Rick experienced a massive base of the brain stroke at the age of 43. It left his entire right side along with his concentration, memory, cognitive skills and personality traits severely impaired. He instantly went from an above average paycheck to disability income. Needless to say, our lives dramatically changed forever!
Now, I no longer have my word processing business. Instead, I am attempting to use my abilities wisely! To be with my husband, while doing my part to serve my God and my Country from home, while maintaining a full time job. It isn't easy!
