Hi!
My name is Chris Welch. I'm a single guy, currently living in Bloomfield, NJ. I work as a Web Developer at Weichert Lead Network in Morris Plains, NJ and have since February 2005, which is when I moved here from Upstate New York. Allow me to tell you a little bit about myself, and how I ended up in this great state [sic] of New Jersey.
I had just graduated from the Rochester Institute of Technology in November 2004 with a B.S. in Information Technology, and started a consulting company called Signal18, Inc. That's when I realized that my new company would require me to stay in Rochester for the next 5 years of my life before I would have enough business to move to a larger city. I don't know if you know this, but Rochester sucks!
Now, I was pretty lucky in college, and got the opportunity to work with some really great companies, including being the lead developer on the Orange & Rockland web site in 2003 for which I was internationally recognized, and I did a bunch of consulting work through my dba Webnautica. Having developed over 35 sites when I graduated, I packed up and decided to move to Metro NYC, which is where I'd really wanted to live since I was a kid. That's all thanks to my Grandma Welch, who used to take me down to the city every now and then, but that's a different story...
