Greg and Tyson Keane grew up in Grand Rapids. In 1987 they had vision to open a store that not only sold the best in pet products and supplies, but also provide pet owners with good advice and guidance. Being pet lovers themselves, the brothers wanted Chow Hound to appeal to people who regarded their pets as “part of the family.” Two years later in 1989, this dream became a reality with the opening of the first Chow Hound Pet Supply Warehouse on Jupiter Ave.
