Chip-india.com Is the official website of IC CHIP which is a monthly Information Technology magazine published by Infomedia India Ltd. since 2003. It is the Indian edition of the popular German monthly CHIP. CHIP is a registered trademark of "Vogel Burda Group|Vogel Burda Holding Inc",Germany. The current editor of the Magazine is Marco Angelo D'Souza.

About
CHIP was launched in India in April 1998. It was earlier published in India by Jasubhai Digital Media under a licensing agreement with Vogel Burda Group|Vogel-Veriag of Germany. It touched a circulation of 120,000.(Source) However, financial issues led to Jasubhai parting ways with Vogel, and launching their own magazine called Digit (magazine)|Digit.(Source) Later, the magazine was licensed to Infomedia. It has a readerbase of over 750,000 (as on February 2007).

Know-How
The Know-How Section is the section for learning and imparting knowledge. Registered members ask queries regarding problems and clarifications. Queries are answered by other registered members who are positioned as junior, senior, experts or wizards according to their points tally. The points can be subdivided amongst various answers according to their strength.The Know-How section is currently under read only mode after the improved site was launched in January 2007.

Town square is the forum of chip-india.com where technical topics and P.C ,Mac,Linux related problems and are discussed and solved by members.
