Established on January 5, 1990 and headquartered in the heart of Manhattan. The China Press publishes more than 40 pages daily. Founded by 11 Chinese immigrants from Mainland China, Taiwan and Hong Kong, the number one goal of The China Press has always been to best serve the interests of Chinese Americans living in the U.S.
This commitment to responsible, reliable news coverage remains a constant in directing editorial policy and has made The China Press a leader for delivering accurate, balanced, in depth analysis with commentaries on issues that most concern the Chinese community. At the same time, as a publication it has worked hard to provide information which would be useful to Chinese immigrants in better adapting to life in the Unite States. The China Press has served its news leadership role by encouraging Chinese immigrants to integrate into the mainstream of American society and promoting improved US-China relations.
For Chinese Americans, The China Press has become their foremost news source and cultural link to Mainland China. Thanks to timely, detailed reporting and impartial and insightful editorials, The China Press has grown to be a publication whose influence is felt far beyond U.S. borders. Many Chinese leaders, for example, have granted exclusive interviews to The China Press, thus greatly enhancing its authority on issues concerning Chinese affairs and trade relations between Mainland China and Taiwan. No other U.S. Chinese newspaper has gained the same privilege of unlimited access to news about Mainland China.
