The two friends were deeply saddened that throughout the Valley, high quality fashion, décor, and creative experiences specific to children were practically non-existent. Imaginative, detailed clothing, distinctive enough for each child’s individuality, could only be found on confusing websites lacking inspiration. It was troubling indeed. Other elements were missing as well. The big-box retailers were selling predictable cheap replicas of vintage nursery items and toys, mass produced and displayed on metal shelving under the glare of florescent lighting. Shopping in such places left something to be desired. True vintage character, old-fashioned quality, and originality seemed unattainable without hours of scouring antique stores and thrifts shops, hoping to find re-discovered treasures. It was frustrating. Something needed to be done!
Someone must save the little town, the valley, and beyond, from such tragedy! Accepting the challenge, Carol & Julie set to work. They would create an aesthetic place of bliss, offering an inspirational experience that would integrate quality elements from days gone by, extraordinary finery, one-of-a-kind treasures, and a place for creative fun and fantasy.
