- Ob-Gyn Associates of Chico is a group of three physicians. Dr. Steven Lazaro first started practicing in Chico in 1980. A year later he was joined by Dr. Susan Kehm. In 1984, Dr. Walter Mazen, Jr. became the third member of the group. We are graduates of American medical schools, and have received our post-graduate specialty training in a likewise fashion. We are all certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. We each run our own practices independently, seeing our own gynecology and obstetrical patients. Since we share call coverage on nights and weekends, our pregnant patients will usually see the other physicians for one or two "get acquainted" visits. We have been sharing the same office space since 1984, and are conveniently located one block from Enloe Medical Center on The Esplanade.
