Description
Chemometry Consultancy is founded and run by Klaas Faber, an analytical chemist by training. After working as a post-doc with Bruce Kowalski and Dave Duewer, he gained practical experience through statistics consultancy in forensic and agrotechnological research institutes.
Meanwhile, chemometrics expertise was maintained through a number of on-site collaborations. All these visits have been pleasant and productive in terms of scientific output (see publications). However, the stay in Tarragona during the autumn of 1999 stands out in particular because of the great excursions. The picture on the right is taken by Xavier Rius in front of the monastery of Scala Dei in the Priorat region, nowadays renowned for its exquisite wines. Interestingly, the combination of chemometrics and oenology is a fruitful one.
