Our family business began in 1996 to fill a void that existed in the snack food market. Back then, the concept of low fat, healthy food was just beginning to become an important health consideration. At that time, the snack food industry was laden with high fat choices, with very few, if any great tasting low fat options. We recognized the need for more low fat options, particularly after one of our family members suffered a heart attack and was told to change his current eating habits.
