The proprietor of this site attended Seminary for 3 1/3 years, during which time he recorded the beautiful chant which was sung every day in the main chapel. 50 trained male voices singing the Church's traditional Gregorian chant is a sound not easily forgotten.
After it was determined he did not have a vocation, he asked permission to sell the recordings he made to the general public. Royalties were agreed on, and the work of editing the various CDs began.
These recordings were all done live, as opposed to in a studio. However, only the best recordings made it to these Chant CDs. If the seminarians fumbled part of a song, or the organist slipped up, that recording hit the cutting room floor.
