Kalava Venkata Kamal Kumar was born in Orthodox Hindu Family on 20th August, 1958 (i.e. Sravana Masam). Right from his childhood, he was inclined towards spirituality. He loved listening to music especially, Devotional songs. He was also interested in listening to and reading Hindu Mythological Stories e.g. The Ramayana, The Mahabharatha. He was a regular participant of all Satsanghs.
