Chequamegon Waters Cabin in Wisconsin's Chequamegon National Forest
Description
While wildlife and nature can be enjoyed here year round, birding enthusiasts are in for a real treat if they can plan their trip to the cabin during Spring migration. Tundra and trumpeter swans, various mergansers, ducks, eagles, osprey, shorebirds and numerous warblers can all be expected to be seen from the front door of the cabin!! Dancing sharptail grouse can be enjoyed in the nearby Pershing Wildlife Area - a state owned area that is managed for waterfowl, sharptails and other grassland species.
Down payment of $50.00 ($25.00 for single day) is required to reserve a date. If paying by check, the check must be received at least 2 weeks prior to your stay so that there is time for it to clear the bank.
Area Attractions and Points of Interest:
The Mondeau Flowage, the other large flowage in this section of the Chequamegon National Forest, the Ice Age Trail, Wildlife Watching Points and numerous lakes, streams and rivers can be found close by - all within the boundaries of the surrounding Chequamegon National Forest.
