- GAF (frustrated) : We are IXC Telecom in Melbourne FL USA. We have a user who is attempting illiegal and unwanted hacking into our site. Each time he receives a failure we get a notification sent to us that informs us of the attempt and whether it is successful or not. Normally we just ignore these and they go away. . This time is quite different, however. This individual is using an automated script that is hitting our servers about 6 times per second. They are attempting to gain access to our servers each failure comes back with 205.123.45.112.ri.cgocable.ca. . This individual is not only attempting all addresses and ports, but is now trying every name known to mankind. He has even gone so far as to try to add himself to our host allow files. . This had become a drain on our resources and has caused numerous complaints from our paying customers. This goes on night after night. From midnight to early morning. This must cease. He is flooding our lines and wreaking havoc. If this is one of your customers / addresses, we would apprec iate any cooperation from you to deter this activity. . We are a US company and understand that you are a Canadian company. Is there anything that you can or are willing to do to help with the immediate cease and desist of this activity?
