Marketing, or off page factors are the advertising, marketing, and link building strategies to help increase the results among the engines. We focus on both the website, and marketing efforts with ethical and organic means.

Google was the only major dominant player until Yahoo, and now MSN, entered the search market. These are the leading engines where we focus the majority of our efforts. As engines update, and improve their search algorithm for increased relevancy, factors change. Meaning an optimization strategy today, might not work tomorrow. This results in a work flow that continuously changes. For example, Google is currently giving more weight to off page factors such as IP spreading. MSN is currently giving more weight to on page factors such as proximity, and density. The problems all algorithms face are the potential for abuse. As they overcome the abuse, they shift weights, and hence updates occur.

Results take time, and budgeting. The less budgeting, the more time required, and vice versa. All too often is a case where a client wants results in the next two months. For some reason, they have not been in the search engines for years, and now it must happen in the next few months or not at all. This viewpoint is not realistic. The first step is to set a long term plan. Search engine optimization is not a quick fix solution; it is a long term strategy. It happens to be the best long term strategy available, because over time, the ROI's are higher than available in other Medias!
