- The company was started in 1989 by Dr. Charles Li (Doctorate in Polymer Engineering, Georgia Institute of Technology - Atlanta, GA) and Dr. William Drury (Doctorate in Materials Engineering, Georgia Institute of Technology - Atlanta, GA). Since that time the company has grown substantially. The first manufacturing plant was constructed in 1992, and a second was added in 2001. The production facilities total over 200,000 square feet with approximately 350 employees, including 14 engineers and 19 quality control technicians.
