Andres received his diploma in Electrical Engineering from the Buenos Aires Institute of Technology and the MS and PhD degrees in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Maryland, College Park, Maryland, in 2000 and 2004, respectively. His research interests are in the area of multimedia wireless communications, cross layer designs, digital signal processing and speech and video processing (especially in the area of signal compression). He is the author and creator of the Digital Signal Processing (DSP) Blog.
