In March 1985 Celtic Helicopters were issued with a Class C authorisation by the then Minister for Communications. An Agusta Bell 206 Jet Ranger was purchased at the same time. Since this time the company has gone from strength to strength.
Celtic Helicopters are the only helicopter operator concentrating its efforts on the light helicopter market, providing a comprehensive service to a wide range of customers.
Celtic Helicopters chose Bell 206 Jetrangers and Agusta A109 helicopters as the mainstay of their fleet. These are the most successful and widely used gas turbine helicopters ever built. Each Jetranger has seating for four passengers and the Agusta A109 have seating for six passengers.
