I’ve actually met a few celebrities. I’m from New York, where … at least during the eighties… they used to walk around all the time. I’ve even had a few brief exchanges with them. One I will never forget is the time I rode in an elevator alone with Mike Tyson. He was shooting a Pepsi commercial, and I was one of the extras playing a reporter during a press conference. The shoot was over and we’re riding in the elevator for about a minute of awkward silence… I met eyes with him when I stepped in and probably said “sup.” Out of nowhere, Mike just out and says “Elevators are kinda scawy in a way.” To which I responded, “yup.”
That was pretty cool. But I think given a second chance I might’ve pressed a question or two on Mike.
