Description

CEOs for Cities is a national network of urban leaders speeding innovation in cities.

It is the only organization that brings together mayors, university presidents, corporate executives and foundation officials to tackle issues affecting the future of U.S. cities.

Recent research includes The Young and Restless in a Knowledge Economy, Branding Your City, The Changing Dynamics of Urban America, and Leveraging Colleges and Universities for Urban Economic Growth.

CEOs for Cities was founded in 2001 by Paul Grogan, author of Comeback Cities and President of the Boston Foundation. Mayor Richard M. Daley of Chicago, Dr. Eugene Trani, President of Virginia Commonwealth University, and Charles Ratner, CEO and President of Forest City Enterprises are co-chairs; Carol C. Coletta is President and CEO. It is funded by the MacArthur Foundation, Rockefeller Foundation and Knight Foundation, as well as by urban leaders who participate in our network.
