The Community Chapel for Wholistic Healing (CCWH) was founded, as a New Age church, in 1977 by Rev. Michelle Lusson DD, a doctor of divinity and a gifted intuitive channel. Rev. Lusson based her teachings from channeled information to form a bridge between traditional and non-traditional belief systems in both healing and the growth of one’s spirit in modern times.
Over the years, CCWH continued to grow and expand under Lusson’s guidance and offered a wide range of speakers in it’s chapel services including James Redfield, author of the “Celestine Prophecy” and “The Tenth Insight”, along with a large variety of workshops and seminars covering many aspects of healing for “the whole person”.
A ministerial program was born out of CCWH’s educational programs to ordain and certify healers in both spiritual and physical modalities. This program was inspired by Rev. Lusson’s higher guidance to aid those gifted healers to be recognized for their talents in the community and to have a base of operations to demonstrate their gifts. Lusson claims that the spirit of Edgar Casey, founder of the Association of Research and Enlightenment (ARE) in Virginia Beach, came to her in a dream and asked her to promote healing in this non-traditional way.
