About Us
The Columbia County Democrats are represented in the County Democratic Committee, made up of two members from each of the fifty-nine electoral districts in the county. The number of voting districts is determined by population in accordance with state law. You can see how many districts are in each town on each town's web page on this website, which you can find here.
In addition, the Columbia County Democrats send six delegates to the New York State Democratic Committee, two from each of the three different New York State Assembly Districts that serve Columbia County (the 103d, 108th, and 127th). (map).
The Committee is regulated by its By-Laws, which can be found here (or here, in a ready-to-print format). The Committee's also has a smaller Executive Committee to handle routine matters whose membership is listed here.
