Do not dress as the character you are playing when you go for your movie casting! Keep in mind that auditions are just job interviews. So dress the way you would dress when you want to impress someone. You do not need to fashion out a costume for yourself because you are not looking to work in the costume department. Instead, ensure you look kempt and your clothes should be immaculate. In any case, if the casting directors would like to put you in wardrobe and makeup then they will do so.
Always be on the lookout online for acting roles and casting for movie that are available in your area and make sure to study the character that is required of you. Practice first by mastering the lines of several famous films but make sure to never lose your identity and to put your flavor into it.
